January 15th 2011

Today was my ICRA Retreat, which went relatively well and was much more enjoyable than I though it would be. Though some aspects were not that useful, it was still a lot more helpful in the long run. We played three games: one involving not stepping on lava, one involving being blindfolded and trusting one another to get to certain places, and the cup stacking pyramid game that took forever to complete. In attendance was me, Amul, Geetha, Rashika, Bijan, Jorge, Nicole, & Cindy.

Then, I got to see my floor family from freshman year again (well, some of them), eating at Rock Bottom with Leah, Brittney, John Torres, Leandro, and Howard. No, I actually haven’t hit rock bottom fortunately, but instead ate there. It was enjoyable to see their fresh faces again (since I wasn’t able to in the previous week).

Later, I played Scrabble with Lauren and won! :D

A 17-year-old pianist from a tiny town in Nebraska was crowned the 90th Miss America, inheriting the coveted title in an iconic but beleaguered pageant that is striving to regain its prominence. Teresa Scanlan, the youngest winner ever, said her age will help the pageant regain some of its relevance in the popular culture as she travels to advocate against eating disorders. Too bad NOBODY, including me, watches this anymore.

On January 15th, 1967, In the first Super Bowl The Green Bay packers defeat the Kansas City Chiefs in Los Angeles. I don’t particularly care much for the Super Bowl, but I especially like their commercials. In this year’s Superbowl on February 5th, Glee is the post-game show!! Which means big ratings = which means big $$$$$$$ = which means Glee will be even bigger than before!

P.S.: I’ve searched my soul, and all these feelings that I can’t control. And you’re the one thing that can make me whole, I did it for you.
