Some days I type extensive paragraphs about my day. Some days, I can summarize everything in one sentence. Today is somewhere in between. Today I went to work at 8AM where I got to check tire pressures, wash carts, input some data into the computer, and found the keys I accidentally left there yesterday. Immediately after, I went to Foodworx with Geetha, the library, and then my 1 on 1 with Jorge. I then went to some weird, strange Lesbian Studies Class (where I fell asleep and the teacher stared at me angrily), and then to a very productive UCSD Cares meeting. I then went to my dull Info Age Communications class where we received our midterms back. I’m bummed I missed .5 points though. :( . And she assigned an essay, which I must do this weekend (probably not). My stomach was growling immediately so I went on the bus with Geetha to Island’s where I also encountered Howard with his girlfriend, the O-chem book. At Island’s I took a picture, but more importantly where I devoured some endless fries. I then went home, watched some Glee, delivered construction paper and Phil’s pens to Tiffany, and then advanced to some productivity in the form of homeworking.

A bill to extend three provisions of the Patriot Act and Intelligence Reform bill that are due to expire next month failed to win approval Tuesday from the U.S. House of Representatives. The House voted 277-148 in favor of the bill, which fell short of the 284 votes needed to pass, because it was considered under a House rule that required a two-thirds majority. In the vote, 26 Republicans joined 122 Democrats in opposing the bill that would have extended the provisions through December 8. YAY, Our Civil Liberties are coming back <24.

On February 8th, 1973, The US Senate approved the formation of a special committee to investigate the Watergate bugging incident. I don’t care what anyone says. Richard Nixon was a great president. His only downfall was getting caught in something other presidents probably have engaged in. He got us of Vietnam and helped reduce domestic spending (slightly), and that makes him great in my book.

P.S.: "A pair of star-crossed lovers." – William Shakespeare.
