October 26th, 2011

No matter how hard I tried to make today work, it ended up in and of itself to turn out ultimately as a mess. I went to work in the morning which went well with my boss positioning me in a conference room with a huge computer. I naturally navigated facebook in the process while tele-conferencing at the same time. I met up with Geetha afterwards to sit and talk for a bit, before proceeding to the WTCC meeting. Me, Moncayo, Nick, Gavin, and Sammy discussed upcoming events, which includes Disneyland, something I’m highly anticipating in the future. I met up with Tiffany Saw afterwards as we discussed life at C.V., a place I haven’t been to since last Spring. I ate some interesting ravioli pasta/lasagna, which ended up being decent. We went to class, I went to Geisel afterwards where Geetha ultimately met up with me. After several hours of doing my Polisci essay and brainstorming outline ideas for my documentary I ultimately left to go to a grand Young Americans for Liberty meeting, where I consumed delicious free Little Caesar’s pizza. I went to Round Table with several of the persons there afterwards to chill and talk (including Simeon, Angad, Elizabeth, Paul, Phil, & Amy). I ended the night busing back home with Jonny, where we talked for a little bit of time. At home I ultimately contemplated life… realizing most of the friends I have made during the years are either assholes or not genuine at all. We’ll see the ultimate test of who I can trust Friday.

History

On October 26, 1776, exactly one month to the day after being named an agent of a diplomatic commission by the Continental Congress, Benjamin Franklin sets sail from Philadelphia for France, with which he was to negotiate and secure a formal alliance and treaty. In France, the accomplished Franklin was feted throughout scientific and literary circles and he quickly became a fixture in high society. While his personal achievements were celebrated, Franklin’s diplomatic success in France was slow in coming. Although it had been secretly aiding the Patriot cause since the outbreak of the American Revolution, France felt it could not openly declare a formal allegiance with the United States until they were assured of an American victory over the British. And that’s exactly where he slutted it up.

News

When Glee’s Amber Riley, Naya Rivera and Heather Morris, among others, perform Adele’s "Rumor Has It"/"Someone Like You" during the show’s Nov. 15 episode, it will mark the latest milestone in a somewhat brief yet storied history for the Fox hit. The song will mark the show’s 300th musical performance, a feat that 20th Century Fox Television chairman Dana Walden, Columbia Records topper Rob Stringer as well as the cast and crew celebrated Wednesday on the show’s Hollywood set. WOW….
