Having done both workout regiments, it’s now time to judge them based on their personal strengths and weaknesses.

Time

It’s important to recognize that P90x workouts tend to be anywhere between 75-90 minutes (depending on the workout), while Insanity workouts vary anywhere between 40-70 minutes). For its sole convenience, Insanity clearly wins in this arena.

Insanity: +1
P90x: +1

Diet Plan

It’s hard for me to actually judge this category, considering I didn’t actually follow through with each diet guideline. Subsequently, my results are probably skewed.

Insanity: 1
P90x: 1

Workouts

I tended to enjoy the Insanity workouts more, despite them being mostly all Cardio. HOWEVER, the workouts in P90x varied and subsequently were less “boring” to do over time, because they kept changing from month to month. Therefore, both regiments deserve a point.

Insanity: +2
P90x: 2

Results

In terms of the personal results achieved from completing both workout videos, P90x wins hands down. If you want to slim down Insanity can help you, but P90x will in the end give you more muscles in various areas of your body. It will work you harder in the long run, and provide you a healthier lifestyle one way or another (it even includes Yoga).

Insanity: 2
P90x: +3
